Evans plays MI5 Officer John Hughes, balancing trying to prevent an Iranian terrorist plot planned in the UK, internal investigations into his conduct at work and struggles with his marriage. Will he foil the terrorist plot at the cost of his marriage?

This new drama from the makers of The Crown charts the partly fictionalised true story of the extraordinary rise and fall of Jane Andrews, from Buckingham Palace to convicted murderer.
Moving amongst the highest social circles in Britain, Jane managed to secure a place amongst the upper-classes in the Duchess of York’s office, only to lose her job after nine years of service.
Still reeling from her fall from grace, Jane went on to meet charismatic businessman Thomas Cressman and fell deeply in love. But soon cracks began to develop in the romance Jane had pinned all her hopes on, with disastrous consequences.
Joined by Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones, The Hunger Games) as Sarah Ferguson and Ed Speleers (Outlander, Downton Abbey) as Thomas Cressman, The Lady examines ambition, class and identity against the backdrop of the British establishment.
