With her next victim selected, Elvira finds herself distracted by anonymous poison pen letters sent to the paper's obituarist. She ends up finding a new victim which brings her closer to Emerson, who it is revealed has come to town to solve a murder.

Episode 2

Elvira is approached by Denis, a teenager who witnessed Elvira kill her first victim. After some bargaining, Elvira agrees to kill Denis's bully for his silence. The kill goes horribly wrong for Elvira but delightfully right for Hughie.

Episode 3

With Denis's words ringing in her ear that she is a monster, Elvira decides to kill a real one: a drunk driver who mowed down a father and his daughter. This sends Elvira to therapy where she discovers that Mallory betrayed her five years ago.

Elvira is certain Mallory left her for dead five years ago while Mallory discovers that Elvira lured the now deceased Sylvester Jennings using Mallory's phone. Elvira poisons Mallory and must decide whether to save her or not.
