Tom is fed up with Morag keeping him inside all the time, and wants to start work on the farm again. Paul accuses Chick of slipping him some steroids, but got his own back by giving Chick some. The hospital tell Sheila that Davie is out of the coma.

Mairi is ill, and Lachie suggests that she gets someone else to look after the shop till she recovers. The boys of the village are feeling competitive about the race, and Tony ends up breaking his foot.

Sally asks Mairi for a job at the shop, as she is worried that she won't be able to pay the rent. Sarah is annoyed that Effie fired Mrs Mack as cleaner, and demands that she apologises. More people are starting to train for the hill race.

Tom returns home after his operation, and is feeling much better. Sarah is trying to figure out what to do to save the estate. Mrs Mack and Victor are falling out over the hotel. Lachie tells Morag and Tom about Davie.

Mairi isn't getting on too well running the shop. Nigel is trying to get the estate off of Sarah and Sadie, as they get a letter from his lawyers. Tom recovers after his operation. Eddie tells Sheila he still has feelings for her.
